WONM has instituted a system of honors for outstanding achievements in humanitarian endeavors. Recommended awardees are evaluated by our nominations committee and then considered by the awards committee for awards at its annual conference.
HUMANITARIAN SERVICES: This award is conferred on healthcare professionals and non-healthcare personnel who are sacrificing personal comfort in order to care for neglected people locally or internationally.
ORDER OF EXCELLENCE: An award for outstanding practitioners, teachers,author, radio and press host who have shown lifelong dedication to advancing traditional, integrative medicine or natural medicine techniques and treatments for the betterment of suffering humanity.
RECORD FOR EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE: An award for researchers in the field of natural sciences and healing, having produced a research paper and received excellent peer review.
OUTSTANDING PEOPLE OF THE 21th CENTURY: An award and commemorative for those leaders and vanguards who have taken us where we are, and where we are going. This award may be given in abstentia and for those deceased.
ILLUMINATED DIPLOMA OF HONOR: A high award to an author or compassionate innovator of Integrative medicine, humanitarian services or natural medicine that has caused due impact and awareness to the medical or lay community at large.
Dr. MCKENZIE AWARD FOR COMPASSIONATE SERVICE TO HUMANITY: This award was established by the World Organization of Natural Medicine-Clinics for Humanity™, board of directors, and is named after its co-founder, Dame, Dr. Sheila McKenzie.She has demonstrated care and concern for the suffering forgotten people of the world, selflessly giving of her time and resources, inspiring others to take similar action in the care of those who are neglected and forgotten.
NOBLESSE OBLIGE" Noblesse oblige" is originally used to imply that with wealth, power and prestige come responsibilities. This award is for an individual balanced by duty towards those who lack such privilege or who cannot perform such duty.
